Telog
Connecting
to Telog via Ethernet
The
Soft-Log administration software can connect to Telog over Ethernet
connections using the TCP/IP protocol. This allows for administration
of remote hardware units connected to a local network or even
the Internet.
Telog
has built in Hardware Password Protection that prevents unauthorized
access to the unit when it is connected to public networks (or
even a Modem).
To
connect Telog to an Ethernet network you need a Serial-to-Ethernet
adapter or you can use the Soft-Log Proxy software that turns
a regular Microsoft(R) Windows(TM) based PC into a Serial-to-Ethernet
converter.
The
hardware converter as well as the Soft-Log Proxy software are
available for purchase.
